Alright I think it's high time this bad boy got an update. I've been playing around with a few bits and pieces on the page but haven't officially blogged since I left the station, (If you're late to the party read below you'll get the general idea.) so here we are...
Of course at the moment I'm itching to do my usual bit where I rabble on for two to three paragraphs on the fact that I don't know what to blog about. but honestly I think if I give it a little thought and dedication, this could turn out to be a decent first off air post.
Hows the station you ask? Well I'm not a chop, yes I've gone back once or twice. They pretty rockin there still. lots has changed.
Was thinking about it the other day Samson O Duntan is the only guy left at the station who joined the same time as me. all the news readers, marketing team, dj's all the rest of them moved on or where fired.
Reminds me about what Rob Forbes said when he came back to South Africa after his stint in the UK. "within six months you won't know anyone at the station."
The scary thing is it's nearly true (of course excluding managers)
Overall though the station is well. Heard the RAM's figures the other day when I visited, still rocking worlds.
Note: if you are one of those investor types that stumbled across this website, call up Tuks FM and offer them some cash, trust me what that station has under the covers is incredible, they just need a little capital to get it started, keep it in mind ;-)
Me? yeah I'm still around. got my eggs in a few baskets at the moment see what I can make of it. considered going back to the radio station (like everyday) but at the moment it's just not the right choice for me. if that changes, guarantee you'll be the first to know. For the time being it's studies and only studies.
If you see me at Hatfield Square (like spotting Elvis really) come over say "Hi" I won't bite (unless you into that...)
So yeah here we are that the end of my first off air post. we did pretty well. considering I wanted to blabber on about having nothing to blog about. Weathers been silly crazy here at the moment been getting super tanned from swimming and still need a fan at nights to keep my room the right temp to sleep in. it's at times like this that I wish I was at the beach. weather like this is spoilt up here in the 'burbs, you need to have the sand between your toes and a cold beer in your hands while your waist deep in sea water for temperatures like this.
Surfing? yeah that too but gotta learn it first. one day...
